Schwarzkopf Oil Miracle Barbary Fig Oil
Hair Care Range Review

Hi Divas

Welcome back to my blog. I know I have not blogged in what feels like YEARS!!! Unfortunately LIFE has been a little crazy lately. I have really missed blogging because it is a fun hobby and a great stress reliever for me. I am excited to get back on the bloggersphere again with a new post. This week I shall be reviewing some new hair products I received recently. I am a big fan of the Schwarzkopf hair care range. This brand has never disappointed me when it comes to affordable salon products. I bought the Barbary Fig Oil range from the Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Hairtherapy collection. There was a great value bundle available on Retail Box which came with three products and a cosmetics bag. I initially only wanted to buy the hair oil but when I saw the great value bundle, I jumped at the chance to purchase it. What is so special about Barbary Fig Oil, you may ask? Well, it is a plant based oil that is filled with antioxidants and vitamins which nourish the hair and gives super hydration. This range also boosts the strength of the hair with micro keratin that repairs the hair shaft. You are left with soft, shiny and healthy strong hair.

Schwarzkopf Barbary Fig Oil & Keratin Restorative Shampoo
The shampoo is packaged in a 200ml purple tube with gold lettering on it. I love that the shampoo comes in a squeeze tube because it makes it much easier to get the last drop of shampoo out. This shampoo has a lovely sweet scented smell. I would not say it smells exactly like figs but it does have a hint of the fruit. The texture of the product is a purple gel that lathers really well on the hair. It gives the hair a good cleanse without stripping it of moisture. My hair feels clean and soft after using it. It makes your hair smell really good too, which I adore. I think this is a great everyday shampoo. I prefer to use this on days I need to wash my hair after exercising. It is not a deeply nourishing treatment shampoo like the Kerastase shampoos. Therefore I feel if you want a good shampoo that cleanses well and leaves the hair feeling soft then definitely get this one. If you are looking for a more luxurious treatment shampoo then give this one a skip.

Schwarzkopf Barbary Fig Oil & Keratin Restorative Mask
The mask is packaged in a 150ml purple tub with a gold screw on lid. The texture of the mask is what surprised me the most. Firstly the mask is a pretty lavender colour. I have never seen hair products with such unusual shades. The actual mask is really thick. If you take off the lid and turn the tub upside down the mask does not run down at all. It is stiff like whipped cream. The consistency is very thick and a little product goes a long way. This mask will last you quite a long time because you don't need to use much. I like to scoop it out with my two fingers and spread it all over my hair. The mask soaks pretty quickly into your hair, despite it being so thick. I actually like this mask as it gives me a smooth finish and does not weigh my hair down or make it greasy. The mask is aimed for very dry brittle hair but it is not that intense. I feel that someone with fine hair could easily use this and get smooth frizz free tresses. This mask has a similar scent to the shampoo but has a little more punch. I think it is a good everyday mask and is great value for money.

Schwarzkopf Barbary Fig Oil & Keratin Restorative Treatment
This is the product that I wanted to purchase the most. I have used other BC Bonacure Hairtherapy finishing treatment oils and I loved them. This one comes in a 100ml bottle. The one I had before lasted me for almost a year and a half. These oils are such great value for money. They last a long time and they are so versatile. You can use it on wet or dry hair, as a smoothing serum before blow drying and has a finishing serum for after styling. The oils protects the hair from humidity and prevents frizz. It nourishes and detangles the hair too. The texture of the oil is not sticky or heavy. It's light weight and can be used on the roots and the ends. It makes my hair soft and shiny without it being overbearing or looking like a grease ball. This oil is great for fine and thick hair. The treatment oil has a lovely smell too and will leave your hair feeling and smelling lovely. This one is definitely my favourite product from the range.

  1. Desle, it's so good you were able to get the bundle. It let you try their other products. That's always a good deal. I'm finding a lot of companies doing this (putting sets together) towards the end of the year. So glad everything worked. This is my first time hearing of the brand. I love that it hydrates & adds moisture to the hair. That is essential.
