Essence My Skin Range

Thanks to Essence I tried out these awesome products from their new My skin and Pure skin care range. I had a bit of a moment when I found out Essence was sending me these products because this is the first time that a brand has ever sent me products to try out. So I almost peed in my pants from excitement. Hehe:-)

I have always wanted to try out these ranges so I am so grateful that I get to do it. I have divided up my review in two parts.  Part 1 is:

Essence My Skin Range.

My Skin Tinted Moisturiser

I have been  wanting to try tinted moisturisers for so long but never got around to doing it. I hardly ever wear foundation so I love the idea of mixing it with a moisturiser in one easy application. The My skin Tinted moisturiser comes in two shades light and medium to dark. I tried the medium to dark moisturiser because I have a honey colour skin tone. Girls of colour know that it is hard to find a foundation that completely matches your skin tone because our faces tend to be of darker or lighter shades in certain areas of our face. So I am always weary when I have to colour match my skin tone.

On application the moisturiser seems to be darker than my natural skin tone. Once blended in the moisturiser melts wonderfully into my skin and adapts to my natural skin tone. The cream is very light and surprisingly moisturising. I must admit that I did apply a SPF cream under this tinted moisturiser because I like extra cover and moisture when I step out into the sun.

I love the matte, smooth and radiant appearance it gives to my complexion. It does not rub off on clothes, leaves no residue or dry flakes. My skin felt soft and smooth and was covered through out the day. I really love this product and will be purchasing more when I run out.

Cooling Eye Roll-On

The cooling eye roll-on comes in a nifty 15ml tube that can be carried in the smallest of handbags. I love this eye roll on. It glides easily under the eyes. I use it in the mornings to re-freshen and awaken my sleepy eyes. The cooling cucumber extracts soothes and reduces puffiness. The roll-on can be applied throughout the day to revive tired eyes.

I love the new My Skin Care range. I recommend it to anybody who is looking for an affordable skin care range that delivers quality products with awesome results. Say Hello to beautiful skin with Essence My Skin Range!

A big thank you to Essence for these awesome products.

Great post :) I've been eyeing these products for a while, will be trying some of them out when my existing products run out.

Awesome post! I too have been using Essence for a while now especially the anti-spot gel. I'm keen on trying the tinted moisturiser and I'm sure older teens will like it too. The cleansing wipes are also pretty awesome too. The range that Essence provides is definitely easy on the pocket :)

Awesome post, your images refuse to display for me though. I haven't tried their skin range yet but I picked up of their multi-action false eyes mascara this weekend as it was on sale, but their rack was almost completely empty.

I was thinking the same thing. Teenagers will really love this because they are not allowed to wear makeup at school. So this is a great solution for them. Thanks Lucrishia. Xx

The eye roll on is so cute. And it's not messy to use like other eye creams. Thanks for the comment. Xx

Are you viewing the post on your cellphone? That sucks that the images don't want to load. I love their mascaras as well. I know their products do sell out fast;-)

No only on my pc, the 2nd and 4th pics do not work for me on neither Chrome nor Firefox.
If I'd known earlier about Essence's sale I would have gone to Clicks earlier because at the Clicks stores that I go, their products don't sell out that fast.
